Satellite studies
The ObsITI research program has become a vivid framework for a growing number of important optional satellite studies:
- Batch selection (modified Oxford assay): Selection of product batch for individualised ITI
- TGT (thrombin generation test): To monitor the hemostatic efficacy of FVII and to identify patients with highest bleeding tendency
- Immunogenotyping / HLA genotyping: To determine the gene defect and HLA classes
- TGA (thrombin generation assay): To evaluate the potential of different FVIII concentrates to generate thrombin in the patient’s inhibitor plasma
- Immune monitoring: To monitor and analyze modifications of the immune system and the inflammatory status of the patient during ITI
- Epitope mapping / IgG isotyping: Mapping of epitopes and patter of development during ITI
- IBA (inhibitor binding affinity): To evaluate a possible correlation of anti-FVIII antibody affinities and success of ITI treatment
